A Touch Of Frustration

In Michael Clarke's case the hands say it all. Don't think he is praying, more likely keen on strangling someone.

That's Gotta Hurt

Well you would like to think so, and judging by the faces on the old timers losing a series 4 - 0  will not be a happy memory when they look back on their illustrious careers.

Lucky Haddin

Why lucky? Well if it wasn't for the fact that the rest of his team is kicking arse there would be serious questions being asked about his performance to date. He shouldn't be scratching his head he should be doing odd jobs for Warner, Pup and the bowlers.

Pimp My Cap

Yes I know it is for a very good cause, but there are plenty of causes out there. Perhaps the marketing boys (and girls) at Cricket Australia are missing a trick when it comes to colouring up their team.

To The Bowlers The Spoils

And why not, they did most of the work in this one.

Can any one suggest a reason why all the gun batsman feel the need to flash and poke outside the off stump? It certainly gives the line and length fellas a reason to jump for joy.

Good Luck Ed

I wish Ed Cowan well, but it would pay for him to remember that he is there because the powers that be had little patience with the last lot of "new blood".

Remind any one of the Aussie selectors search for a spinner?

A Very Indian Celebration

Members of the Indian team showing plenty of Eastern promise. It is promise that they are delivering on having got the mix between old and young just about right. They could well be the No. 1 Test team for some time.

I know how much the Aussies hate to lose but I have a sneaky feeling two hard fought losses to the top test team may prove a better Ashes preparation than England's confused and long winded romp with the flaky Pakistanis.

Middle Age Spread

I was always under the impression, backed up by some personal experience, that as you aged your middle got bigger.

Seems to me that the middle of the aging Aussie batting line up is getting thinner. Could it be some sort of Jenny Craig effect?

No Prizes For Guessing ...

...who's making this slashing shot.

The Little Master passes yet another milestone, which makes you wonder where it might all end.

Another ton tomorrow will just keep adding to the legend.

Stand Tall And Deliver

Hilfy The House continues the trend of lethal after tea bowling. India will have to score plenty of runs early if they are to beat the afternoon batting blues and win the game.

What Is In The Tea?

Seems like something is happening to the bowlers, especially the left arm quicks, at the tea interval. Either that or the batsman on both sides are tiring late in the day.

Room here for a conspiracy theory or two?

Not Fade Away

Mark Taylor said, and I quote "Ricky Ponting should look to the Indian marvel Sachin Tendulkar for inspiration as the lights fade on his once formidable batting". "He is not getting any better" said Taylor.

Well there is another sub plot to the series - is Ponting going to make any runs and will he throw something at Mark Taylor if he does?
