A Little Bit Of Body Language

It is never hard to tell who is winning in a game of cricket. The posture tends to tell the story without having to look at the scoreboard.

Lucky Haddin

Why lucky? Well if it wasn't for the fact that the rest of his team is kicking arse there would be serious questions being asked about his performance to date. He shouldn't be scratching his head he should be doing odd jobs for Warner, Pup and the bowlers.

Something To Yell About

Devon Thomas celebrates a very important catch, but sadly for him his lower order could not capitalise on the advantage they created. The England had the last laugh, which always trumps the loudest shout.

Watching the Ball

Devon Thomas showing Kamran Akmal how to do it - Just keep you gloves open and your eye on the ball. Not sure if the big glasses add anything other than a cool reflection.

Dejected Like A Fox

The caption to the original photo was " Akmal dejected after dropping Siddle". Hmmmmmmmmm!

At least the current "revelations" suggest a reason for Akmal's continued selection despite some gawd awful keeping in recent seasons. It would seem that things become much easier when everyone expects that you are going to drop the ball or miss the stumping. Devilishly clever.

Young Dinesh Chandima displays the balance and concentration required of a top class wicketkeper.

Excuse Me Sir...

... but could you possibly consider the dismissal of this young gentleman?

Or words to that effect.

Soft Hands: Straight Legs

It is all a matter of vectors and balance.
The sad things is he actually missed the ball.
Still, there will be another along in a minute.

Caption Time!

I favour a Milton quote - "They also serve who only stand and wait".

Any other clever ideas?

Brad The Groper

Continuing the fishy theme. Haddin looks like he is about to devour some tasty morsel. Could be a small fish, might be a cute kitten, either way he does look hungry.

Deconstruction

Some days you just feel shattered and none of the bits seem to fit.

Action Men

It doesn't have to be a test match to provide action and excitement, Hampshire v Surrey will do just as well.

I can't wait for the Aussies to get to the West Indies. The series will provide more sunshine and less emotional attachment, for me anyway.

Shut Up!

Saying it doesn't make it so, so why does Phil "Hot English" Mustard insist on yelling "catch it" every time some one touches the ball. To be fair he does throw in the occasional "run 'em out" but this seems to also have little relevance to what is happening.

A harsh critic might suggest the time and breath would be better spent improving his overall glove work as documented in today's image.

Oh and by the way, a tie is not like kissing your sister, more like chatting up your brother's sheep.
