A Very Indian Celebration

Members of the Indian team showing plenty of Eastern promise. It is promise that they are delivering on having got the mix between old and young just about right. They could well be the No. 1 Test team for some time.

I know how much the Aussies hate to lose but I have a sneaky feeling two hard fought losses to the top test team may prove a better Ashes preparation than England's confused and long winded romp with the flaky Pakistanis. 

A Tip Of The Hat

The IPL's lasting contribution to cricket might be the introduction of coloured clothing to identify top performers. Purple hats, golden gloves, rainbow pads, perhaps even the mysterious black box.

We must all hope and pray that DFL Maximum! does not find a lasting place in our beloved sport.

I'm Back

Perhaps not cause for outlandish celebrations but I do feel a bit like young Mishra here, happy at the start of a new life episode. It is slightly disappointing to find so little has changed in the cricket world in 3 weeks but then what did I really expect, a consistent NZ team?
