I am so excited. I know someone who knows the cricket deity that is Sehwag. Now I know it is a couple of degrees of separation but my fellow teacher Peter Ingram (Pingers) can be clearly seen communing with the great one. How many of you readers of  this sad blog can claim that degree of contact? Any one who might have doubted Sehwag's divine power need only have watched him destroy the NZ attack while all around him crumbled.

The image seems to suggest Pingers is giving Sehwag some pointers, but I am sure he is just trying to explain the unexplainable - why Watling and Guptil are preferred as openers!

Sehwag Lifts The Pace

After a very ungodlike scoring rate in the last test the great one got a wriggle on against the Lankans.

Word on the street was he was in a hurry to get off and dig into the latest edition of the Cricket Sadist's Quarterly.

How's that for shameless promotion!

Behold The Bunny

The true test of a deity is whether they can "cross over" and capture the hearts, minds and stomachs of non believers.

I have no doubt the Virender Bunny will deliver on all promises and show that Sehwagology is like so many other religions, the one true faith.

Partnership is a very strong theme coming through the test matches being played at present. Of course it helps when the partners are of the quality of Sehwag and Tendulkar. Guptil and McCullum may have a little way to go before they are at that level.

I'm Back

Five days without a post and I bet no one even noticed!

The enforced lay off was due to trouble with my wireless connection but I don't want to bore any one with technicalities, especially ones I don't understand myself.

Rain, hail, sun, sleet, drizzle, gales or fog, Sehwag is a force of nature. This is not a normal cricketer, this is a man of power.

Now here is a sight you don't see too often - the umpires caught in a private moment. The image has a certain Monty Pythonesque quality to it but on further reflection I believe both umpires have been over come by mild religious fervour.

Rumours emanating from the Australian continent suggest that Sehwagology is the next big thing. Being so close to the deity for 300 odd balls was bound to have an effect.

Sehwag and Singh, now there is a powerful combination at the batting crease. You get the feeling that the Aussie/India semi is only a taster for what we might witness over the next few weeks in India. Lets all hope for a maximum performance.
