One old Member of the MCC feels the wrath of Dilshan. I love this image for the stories told in the faces, especially the old fella describing how he would have caught the ball rather than be flattened by it.

British Energy

I admire the hell out of the British spectator. The perfect embodiment of stoic resolve. It seems only right that occasionally the clouds should lift and they be treated to a sunny and spectacular test match finish.

These ladies are happy to take whatever nature throws at them in a good natured way. The young fella behind them is just a little less resigned and a touch pissed off.

So was I. It was shaping as a game worth watching.

There is a lot of tiredness in the cricket blososphere at the moment. Too many average games in the between seasons period seems to have left us a little jaded.

Time to look at it all through someone elses eyes. Every time I have visited Cricinfo in the last few days this image has caught my attention. If you forgive the barbed wire this is a picture of hope for our game.
