Next Trophy Up

Ashwin and Ojha look happy with the trophy in hand, but now India has to start the hunt for the next piece of silverware.

At least it is all new and exciting for the new boys - God knows how many trophies Tendulkar has seen in his time.

In The Pink

It has been said before, Tendulkar just keeps maturing like a good wine.

This images is a little pink so I will stretch my very thin credibility and suggest that he is a Rose - understated, sparkling and very good ones are very rare.

If Sachin was a wine what would he be, and why?

Bleeding Immortal

Do my eyes decieve me? Tendulkar bleeding, it just doesn't seem right. Even stranger is the fact that his blood appears to be red.

At least he has a green finger, which so few mere mortals can claim.

I have to apologise in advance; having bought a new piece of photoshop frame software, you are likely to see a lot of framed images in the next few weeks as I have a play.

Sri Lanka Unbalanced

To be fair to Angelo Mathews it is not easy to keep your poise when Gambhir, Sehwag, Dravid and Tendulkar are on fire!

A Little Master Class

Class is class is class.
I have been reading a number of people's world XI selections recently and am amazed at how few have The Little Master in their team - he certainly makes mine.

F1 Sachin

Visits to this blog have begun to peak. Naked men don't seem to have the pulling power of old and the recent cricket has been of dubious quality, so what to do? You can't go wrong pandering to that giant Indian market, according to Jrod's 16th law of blogging, so here we have the Little Master at the races. Formula 1 that is, and he doesn't look to sure about the experience himself. The image would have been more fun if he had been wearing the ear plugs or perhaps playing a cover drive naked.

The Hands of a Master

Power
Strength
Flexibility
Subtlety
Class
That's what I will remember
Not the anger, angst, frustration and absurdity of the rest of the silly buggers

Share The Love

A small moment for the Little Master but 16,000 one day runs has got to be worth a cuddle, doesn't it?

A Matter of Policy

The India team has a big problem. How to best celebrate a wicket with Ishant Sharma when he is so hard to reach? With the way Sharma is developing this could prove a long term issue.

We believe the matter has been considered and a team policy instituted which states "that the next tallest players are to get to him first with the little fellas bringing up the rear or just circling his legs".

This policy does not apply to Tendulkar who is a true giant, and as such he will only be required to give everyone one of his special smiles.

Shot of the Day

Didn't see too much of day one, but I did see The Little Master play this shot - wow!

Just goes to show "all class and no arse" is even more entertaining then "hard but fair". It is a pity that he still stands out like Richard Hadlee in a kiwi bowling attack, but there is always the second dig.

Celebrate

The sign of a true champion. Not matter how many times he has done it the great one still gets excited over a test 50.

Moving Day

Every image of Sachin seems to now have an added poignancy.

Is it the last time?

What is he going to do next?

All we know is that he will remain a true professional.

Poster Boy

The very best seem to have it from a very early age.

The young Slashing Sachin Tendulkar looks very comfortable in his stance in this early photo. Those of us who are neutrals in battle between England and India can only hope that he can add to his legacy in his last test in England.

Little Master/Master Blaster

Looking as composed and as powerful as ever Tendulkar tucks in to some bowling.

Will this be the swan song tour? Well to quote the man himself "I am absolutely enjoying it and that is the reason for me to walk on the cricket field, the rest of the things follow. The most important thing is my love for the game". Nor would a century at Lord's make him unhappy one would think.

Your Out

It doesn't matter how great you are or how many career centuries you have scored, sometimes you are just out. Notice how it always seems to hurt.
