Jesse Rides (Again)

Jesse contributes to the greater good with an innings of typical flair. Lucky for the Pune Warriors they don't have to provide him with a horse to ride into battle!

An Old Big Hitter

I wonder how the original Big Jesse would have gone in the IPl.

If nothing else I suspect he would hold his drink a little better than the modern Big Jesse.

How Big Is Too Big?

So long as it goes over the fence does it matter how much weight is behind the shot? The Big Jesse debate will add some spice (and extra carbs) to the Brisbane Test. My advice to the newbie Aussie bowlers - "Don't bowl no pies."

The Big One

Nice to see Big Jesse finding some form and the fence. I just hope he saves some for the next season and doesn't just become a sub continent crusader.

Big Jesse Weighs In ...

... with a ton.

Nice to see the big fella back, but a thought does cross my mind.

If having a good team "truth, honesty and yelling" session works so well for the Black Caps, why don't they do it at the start of a series, rather than when it is too late to make a difference?

Head Cases

The Black Collapse have just illustrated, yet again, one of the great mysteries of modern sport - why any one would employ a sports psychologist!?.

If these pussy willows are a product of a coordinated programme of coaching and mental preparation I can't help thinking that someone, perhaps the poor sods who turn up to watch in Hamilton, deserves a considerable refund on their investment. The only investment that seems dodgier is some one prepared to pay a million US dollars for Ross Taylor - good luck with that.

A Sleep Walk To Nowhere

Big Jesse Ryder a Probot! That it should come to this.

He appears to have put himself to sleep or perhaps it is some sort of therapy he is under going, either way I don't like it.

In another dream sequence, the first day at the Oval failed to produce an image I could even get interested in tweaking. Maybe we will all wake up tomorrow.

Now I Know Where I Saw That Face

Something about this photo of The Big Jesse has been bugging me. Who does it remind me of? I think I have cracked it.

What ever you do, don't get him angry!

Not Pretty

But effective.

There is a touch of the demented giant elf about Jesse and I for one want to see more of his magic.

A Little Bit Of Lady

Miss Field has blogged today about the lack of detailed coverage of the Women's World Cup. While I would never contradict such an illustrious fellow blogger I would point out this is the third image in a row from that tournament, so I am doing my bit. Besides they all look a lot better than Jesse Ryder and Scott Styris!

A Big Blast From The Past

The great, well large anyway, Colin Milburn puts me in mind of the new tyro Jesse Ryder. Different countries, different eras but definitely the same pants size.

Battle of the Bulge

Could it happen on this tour? A battle between the big fellas, Jesse Ryder and Rob Key. A mouth watering prospect not seen since the days of Colin Milburn and Kiwi Keith Thomson, and one well worth a bas relief.

For Jesse

I believe an inspirational message could be problematic, what with the reading and all, so we offer this calm image to help the big fella "breathe". Jesse might also notice it is an artificial pitch in an obviously village setting - a taste of what might well be the future.

Our Big Jesse

Note the "our" rather than a "you", for the time being anyway.

Both sides in this series have had recent history with shooting stars whose incandescence was very short lived, so I refuse to get over excited.

Unlike some of our bi-polar commentators we have who seem capable of going from despair to delight in a split second.

Sad Sad

And you think you had a bad week.

I am a New England Patriots supporter, of long standing, back when they were crap, a place they decided to revisit in the SuperBowl.

I am a Black Caps supporter, I can say no more with out breaking down.

I blew a calf muscle at rugby practice showing another coach how to perform a drill. Every one laughed.

I limp home, turn the TV on and find that Jesse Ryder is the future, but not much of one.

I am seriously thinking of forgetting about sport - perhaps flower arranging is where its at?
