The IPL are not the first to dress up their players like porn stars and circus acts. In 1979 the colours were bright and tacky, if less adorned with sponsorships. I just can't help thinking the players wearing the gear were a bit better back then.

They were better test players then, but there was not the hitting that we saw from Baz back then. The bowling was faster though.
