It may not be village cricket but there is something about the MCG that screams summer to all of us on the south side of the equator. So what that those damn Aussies always seem to win, it's just part of natures natural rhythms.

It screams 'summer' to those of us in the northern hemisphere as well.
The cruel part is that it screams it in the depths of winter when it goes dark at 3pm.
