The Gong Show

When you think about it the MBE is a very appropriate award for Graeme Hick, as there is no doubting he is a child of the Empire. He has lived and played in a good number of the old colonies.

As appropriate might have been a Distinguished Service Medal for a guy who has played one hell of a lot of cricket.

Isn't it a travesty that a super-prolific run-scorer like Hick is bestowed with the same award that Paul Collingwood got for making 7 and 10 in a single test?

Perhaps there should be a ZBE, made specially for Hick!
