Your Best Shot

Tillers is seen here playing one of the great shots, the cut. All balance, power, poise and timing. Which got me to thinking what the best "shot in the book" might be. See the sidebar for that very question, who knows, you might have an answer.

Call us old-fashioned...

But the best shot is the Late Cut.

Hayden and McCullum's most uner-rated shot

There's something about the cover drive. The batsmen looks in complete control with style, poise, elegance and all that...

The late cut and leg glance, truly shots from a golden era.

It truly is an art knowing where the off stump is - therefore, although not a shot the purists and scholars of the game truly appreciate, the shouldering of arms only to find the middle of the bat and race away through the slips is a shot worth many runs and one which, to me, is the best "shot in the book"

My best shot, is the hoick to cow corner.

All substance, no style!

In opposition to my natural state.
