50/50 to 20/20

Will England and India have in advantage in the up and coming 20/20 World Cup given their slog out, down to the wire series? Not all of the players will be the same of course but there is such a thing as playing momentum

And while I am asking questions - Is the term World Cup endanger of going the way of Star, over used and meaningless?

A Little Leggy

A reworking of an older image.

Who can tell me who this wrist spinner is?

A Cruel Way To Go

It is a terrible feeling.
You can't blame the pitch just your partner or yourself.
It wasn't an unplayable ball just a run that wasn't there.
And no one shrugs their shoulders as they leave the field.

A Long Layoff

A long lay off is rarely a good thing for a pro sportsman. In this pacemans case it might be the camera angle or the haircut but we do seem to detect a little middle age encroachment. Of course we are not prepared to back such accusations up with a visit to the batting crease.

High Hands

Couldn't resist one more image of our girl Aimee. Form, function and concentration - a great combination.

A Splash of Colour

A reworking of an older image. I love the body angle of the bowler and that no nonsense umpire.

Face Of Frustration

Faces can be a window on the soul, they can launch a thousand ships, they can only be loved by a mother or they can be just plain pissed off.

The game of cricket has that terrible little interlude where the dismissed are still on their way out - a magnificent time for students of body language.

See You Jimmy

There is little truth to the rumour that James Anderson is thinking of extending what has been a successful summer into the hurly burly of the rugby world cup.

While Jimmy is fit and strong with ball in hand he likes to keep 22 yards between him and the guy he is trying to hit.
