Not Unremarkable

Some places just don't make cricket sense.

Queenstown is a great tourist location, wonderful in both summer and winter, but there is something about the look of the place that is incongruous with a game of cricket.

The game the suits bucolic pastures or open plains - the Alps or the Andes are just not a cricket backdrop.

And they tend to attract rain - it is called the orographic effect.

The Eyes Have It, Again


The enigmatic Afridi contemplates yet another demoralisation of the Kiwis.

The Black Caps only chance to even things up is to put Vettori and Afridi head to head and let the rest just watch. It would make it more interesting for the bookies as well.
