World Cup Mania

Well it's started, and as befits the biggest sporting event in the world, the Football World Cup is impacting on everything.

Even that colossus of cricket bloggery JRod has picked his best team of cricketing footballers.

Neither Bravo or Gale made that team but they could probably get a start for the Aussies, playing soccer that is.

Kinda Annoying

Nice post from Uncle Jrod today on what it is about Shane Watson that upsets people. It is an interesting question, cause the boy can play, and we do get a lot of entertainment from hs antics. My gut instinct still says dork though.

Big Eyes, White Teeth

This celebrity thing is all about the size, and colour, of the eyes and the whiteness of the teeth.

I could not decide on a winning caption for this image so I have chosen to recognise the author of the longest one; a certain Great Uncle JRod. This cheeky avatar is fast becoming the most prolific blogger in cricketdom, but we will be watching closely for burnout. The bane of all celebrity, that and the cost of dental hygienists.

Stay Positive

You have to admire a guy who can stay positive especially when all around are either laughing at you or demanding your instant demise. My favourite blogging moment of the week was reading good old Uncle Jrod and finding this description.

"Steve Harmison is part animal part machine.

Problem is it’s a guinea pig and an electric tie organiser."

Now that might not be positive, but it is funny.
