A Pictures Worth A 1000 Words

This image reminds me of those old style English tests where they give you a picture and you have to make up a story around what has happened.

Tamim seems very zen about it all or perhaps he is just pondering what the Integrity Committee might say about his running between the wickets. Which would make sense if he was playing for Pakistan rather than Bangladesh - sometimes I can be a complete dick.

A Slip Of The Tongue

Tamim Iqbal shows defiance, possibly to his opponents but just as likely to the other 10 Bangladeshi players who seem unable to front.

And yes, he did slip up in the second innings, but at least he had a first.

Tamim Can Fly

And he knows it.

Having seen Tamim Iqbal in action in NZ I reckon he is just what the Bangla Boys need - talented, aggressive and a character.

I just hope  they don't expect him to come off every time because that is not the nature of his game. He will make lots of hundreds but probably not too many doubles.

A New Favourite

Teams like Bangladesh need to have a good sprinkling of characters to make up for a bit of a class deficit (a major issue for NZ at present). Tamim Iqbal is one of those characters, and he has a bit of class as well.

The way he plays, he is not going to come off every time, but he does give the bowlers something to think, and growl, about.

Anyway, I likes watching him.

Tamim Iqbal Says ...

... "I am coming to kick your Black Cap arse".

Fresh from his hot hundred Tamim, and many of his team mates, will arrive in NZ with a bit more confidence than they have had in the past.

OK, they didn't beat India, but an evolving Black Cap team could well be a ball of string the kittens can have some fun with.

Give It A Lash Son

Tamim Iqbal goes big, and in such a balletic fashion. Of course, all kittens are playful and cute but it can't be easy while you are being mauled by a great white.

Stand Tall

Stand tall is all very well, but if you are 5 foot bugger all and he is 6 foot everything it is a great bit of advice best given from the boundary.

Well Done Young Man

Spare a thought for this young fella. While all the fuss is going on across the ditch he is passing fifty in both innings of his debut test - and hardly gets a mention. A very good effort, and even more important for Bangladesh who need a top order as desperately as the Black Caps do.
