I have never understood why big hitting batsman like McCullum do this. They get in a bad trot and poke and prod rather than play their natural game. Sure, we will bag them if they get out to a silly shot but nothing like what they get by frustrating the hell out of themselves and us with a stone wall display. He is not made to play the patient grind for 40 overs and nether are we. Get on with it or get out!

Malinga The Slinger

Malinga winds up, in his own inimitable fashion - with the unplayable ball. He must be looking forward to the Black Caps who have never really got on his wavelength, which to be fair has a frequency all of it's own.

Rock Star!?

A total package is more than just an interesting haircut and this fella has got something that the camera loves. The sub continent doesn't produce too many global rock stars but I wonder, if this guys cricket can back up the image, maybe he can cross over into the real big time.

This guy looks so unorthodox, but look at his feet. They set up as a very straight and solid base for one hell of a lot of rotation.

Never ceases to amaze me how many different ways there are to bowl a ball.

Thank heaven there are still more bowlers out there than coaches, ensuring we can still get someone as unique as Malinga to confound and challenge the norm. Makes you wonder if there is now going to be a fashion for the unorthodox.
