It was Jonathan Agnew people, star of BBC and the occasional cricket pitch. I am also amazed that no one suggested the great Ewen Chatfield who does bear a striking resemblance.

not fair Marty...Mr Agnew played his last ODI and last Test back in 1985 so the 1986 clue was certainly corrupt. With this faulty information now wonder my masterful knowledge could not piece this together....an apology will ease the situation.
Over two thousand posts and not a single conviction!
Eh?
Most cricket blogs are about the banter. This one aims to be brief on comment but strong on images. The images are sourced from many places and are subject to a tweak or two by Photoshop. If there is one you like feel free to click, enlarge and print.

Hello dear blogging friend,
Cricket with balls has now moved, true story.
We are now at cricketwithballs.com, so if you could update our address in your blogroll that would be great.
Ofcourse if you already had us down as .com, never mind.
Cheers.
