Guess Who?

As a Black Caps supporter you get used to two things; disappointment and creating your own entertainment. So lets play the most basic of games - who is this batsman?

All good left handers but none are the answer.

too thin for Jesse, too aggressive for Flynn, too healthy for Oram, too straight for Vettori... therefore the obvious conclusion is that it is Sir Richard Hadlee.

Not Paddles - this guy is a black cap by deputy!

you are an annoying bugga Marty D....last guess...NPBHS old boy and legend MARTIN DONNELLY...and if its not him I would like to see a picture of him on this site soon...in tribute to all those Hostel boys that got bullied by him.

Funny story, my father named me after his boyhood hero Martin Donnelly - I have been a great disappointment to him. And despite that this image is not him!

OK....this is my last guess but I am extremely confident now...it is the better playing father of our current opener...the mop of blonde hair gives it away...RODNEY REDMOND

At last a winner. Give it to the Tippa for sticking at it. It is indeed Rodney Redmond, on his way to a 100 in his one and only test. NZ batting the way it now is he might have got another couple of tests had he been a generation later.
