Hit Me With Your Best Shot

So the survey is over and low and behold the favourite strokes are the cut and the pull. With people favouring these square of the wicket show off shots it is no wonder some clowns think that 20/20, twenty20, T20 (or what ever it is called this week) should be an excitement machine and a money generator.

Had the subtle leg glance won out I would have felt a lot better about the games future.

And who might the pictured exponents be? Now that's an easy question.

THe drive in all it's form is the finest, even though I went for the hoick to midwicket

Not only suave but dead accurate as well. I lean towards the late cut as played by The Don but then I am just a little romantic (or bloody old).

The late cut is teh prince of shots.

GMT was an under-rated exponent of it.

If only it had been an option....

Ah yes, if only?

Disagree completely. On drive as practised by Messrs Laxman and Mark Waugh.

The best shot is clearly the forward defencive. It's what cricket is all about.

So I backed the prod.

Although it's not the same.
